Delray Medical Center Announces New Ortho-Fast Track Program at Emergency Center for Orthopedic Injuries

Mar 4, 2021

Delray Beach, Fla. – Delray Medical Center is now offering a new way to care for its orthopedic patients with the new Ortho-Fast Track program.  Patients can now seek immediate care at its off-campus emergency center in Lake Worth, after an orthopedic injury. This new service allows patients to connect directly with an orthopedic surgeon so they can schedule a follow up appointment, after getting an initial examination by an emergency room physician.

“This program is just another way we are working to bring our community faster access to our high-quality orthopedic services that might be needed in an emergency.  Patients will have immediate access to an orthopedic surgeon in a quick and timely manner, should they need one, for an unplanned situation,” said Maggie Gill, chief executive officer for the Palm Beach Health Network and Delray Medical Center.  “Our Emergency Center in Lake Worth offers the same high-quality services and care that you would receive if you came to our main campus emergency room at Delray Medical Center.  If your condition requires a visit to our emergency room, please know we are safe, equipped and ready to care for you.”

Some of the benefits of the Ortho-Fast Track program include:

  • Minimal waiting
  • No appointment required
  • Evaluation by a board certified ER physician
  • Follow-up appointment with an orthopedic surgeon scheduled within 48 hours of your visit
