Palm Beach Health Network Shows Appreciation During National Emergency Medical Services Week
May 22, 2024WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Emergency Medical Services Week (May 20-25), we would like to recognize the men and women who commit their lives to providing critical, life-saving services and compassionate care to our patients and our community.
We are so appreciative of the around-the-clock dedication and extraordinary care they provide as expressed by the national theme of, “Honoring our past. Forging our future.” They begin the journey of compassionate care for our patients. We thank them for their commitment to each life in our community in their time of need.
“Emergency Medical Service professionals play an incredibly important role in the health care for our community. They are the first responders of care for patients as they are transported to our hospitals. These brave people are first to answer the community’s call for help twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week,” Maggie Gill, group president for Tenet Healthcare’s East Coast region. “We’re proud to take this opportunity to show them how much we appreciate their dedication.”
Since 1974, hospitals across the country have celebrated National Emergency Medical Services Week and invited their communities to recognize and thank the dedicated first responders who provide quality care throughout the year. We encourage everyone to dial 9-1-1 in an emergency so that EMS can provide immediate care and transport you safely and quickly to the hospital.
