Topping Out Complete at Florida Coast Surgical Hospital
Jul 15, 2024Final structural beam now in place at Port St. Lucie facility
Port St. Lucie, FL – A major milestone is now complete in Port St. Lucie at Tenet Healthcare’s new hospital, Florida Coast Surgical Hospital, an affiliate of Palm Beach Health Network. The final steel beam has been placed signifying the structural completion of the hospital. The 185,000 square foot, 54-bed acute care hospital will bring expanded healthcare options and new jobs to the area. It will offer specialized services including 24-hour emergency care, orthopedics, spine, robotics, general surgery, advanced cardiac care and diagnostic services.
This facility will anchor the newly developed Florida Coast Health Network, a sister healthcare entity that will benefit from the well-established resources of the Palm Beach Health Network. It is conveniently located to serve the Treasure Coast, near Florida’s Turnpike, from Becker Road, with a physical address of 310 SE Veranda Falls Way in Port St. Lucie. The campus will include new medical office buildings to provide better access to leading physicians. Patients will also have access to outpatient surgical services with affiliated ambulatory surgery centers through the Florida Coast Health Network’s relationship with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).
“We are excited about the construction progress and look forward to the opportunity to start serving Treasure Coast patients on the Treasure Coast, meeting them where they are,” said Maggie Gill, Group President, Tenet Healthcare. “With the future opening of the Florida Coast Surgical Hospital, we will be able to provide high quality care to the Treasure Coast as we do in Palm Beach County.”
The current project timeline estimates completion of the facility in late 2025. To carry out the 19-month build, Tenet tapped healthcare specialist, and long-time construction services provider, Robins & Morton.
